As part of our Disaster Recovery Services, S.E.D. Services regularly provides experienced personnel to perform damage assessment and reporting on the behalf of state agencies and/or its representatives. Damage assessment and reporting services are offered for both commercial and residential structures.

The approach of reporting the damage observed varies significantly from commercial to residential. Commercial reporting and estimate preparation is guided by FEMA guidelines and standards which requires the use of nationally recognized cost data bases such as RS MEANS, for both scope definition and costing. Residential programs, generally overseen by HUD, also requires the use of a nationally recognized cost data base for both scope definition and costing. The currently accepted national recognized cost data base is Xactimate Software, which was developed by the insurance industry for losses incurred by any form of disaster or loss event.

S.E.D. Services’ staff is constantly training to maintain the education advantage and expertise required to perform efficiently and with the utmost accuracy to maximize funding to the client.
